TRANSITIONING TO NEW SENIOR LEADERSHIP: Our beloved pastor of the last 48 years, Rev. Dr. Jim Holley, will retire at the stroke of midnight on December 31, 2021. In his message to the congregation, Rev. Holley shared with us his prayer that we remain faithful to God as we walk through these coming months of transition that will lead the next man or woman to serve as Senior Pastor.
11 persons were appointed as the Pastoral Transition Committee to serve as the liaison between the congregation and the individual called by God to shepherd His flock. The members of the Pastoral Transition Committee realize that identifying a new Senior Pastor will require that we understand who we are as a congregation. Therefore, it is important that all members of the Historic Little Rock Baptist Church be engaged in this sacred and holy process.
All members are asked to please complete the pastoral search questionnaire ASAP. An email containing a link to the questionnaire was sent out to all members with an email address on file. If you are in need of an questionnaire, please send an email request to . For those who received a hard copy of the questionnaire and would like to submit your responses by mail, please send your completed form to the church at 9000 Woodward Avenue, Detroit, MI ATTN: Pastoral Transition Committee.
