LIVE" STREAMING SERVICES:  During the time of restricted movement, the Historic Little Rock is now "Live" streaming our Sunday morning worship services (10:00am) and Bible Study on Wednesday @ 7:00pm over YouTube and FaceBook (Historic Little Rock Baptist Church), and right here on our website!  You can subscribe now by searching for Historic Little Rock on Youtube (or follow this link). Once you subscribe you'll be all set to watch the services.


BIBLE STUDY:   We have resumed our Wednesday Bible class at 7:00 pm online via Facebook and YouTube.  The series is called "Bible 101".  Don't miss it!

TRANSITIONING TO NEW SENIOR LEADERSHIP:   Our beloved pastor of the last 48 years, Rev. Dr. Jim Holley, retired at the stroke of midnight on December 31, 2021.  The church and membership has prayerfully selected a new Senior Pastor to shepherd God's flock.  We bow before God and put Him forefront in all that we do.  Click here for more information.

2022 GRADUATES:  Congratulations to all 2022 graduates!  We want to celebrate you and your accomplishments.  We are honoring graduates from middle school, high school, and college.  Please register through the church's office.  The deadline to register is Sunday, May 15th.


RAINBOW SALAD FEST:  The Mother's Board is sponsoring a Rainbow Salad Fest next Sunday afternoon May 5th here at the church.  During this time of sharing, we will honor and fellowship with our new First Lady Errin Colvin and her family.  The donation is $10 for adults and $5 for children. We would love for you to dine in however, carry-outs will be available.  

HLRBC CHURCH SIGN/MONUMENT:  Historic Little Rock is working to get a new state of the art church sign. The pillars flanking the sign will match the stones on the church.  This sign will give us the opportunity to share community information.  There is still opportunity for you to dedicate a memorial stone for a loved one, and or display your family name or business name... all will be etched in history in front of the church.  Visit the Memorial Garden page on this site for more information.  

GRIEF MINISTRY:  Historic Little Rock will sponsor a grief support group via Zoom beginning March 7 from 6:00-8:00pm.   Men sessions are available.  Volunteers are needed to facilitate.  To register and obtain more information on our upcoming sessions,   click here  to go to or see Sis. PASTOR EMERITUS HOLLEY'S RETIREMENT WORSHIP SERVICE AND BANQUET:   Please save the date, Sunday, June 26, 2022 @ 10am for Pastor Emeritus Holley's 50th Anniversary Morning Worship with guest speaker Rev. Wayne E. Croft, Pastor of St. Paul's Baptist Church, West Chester, PA.  At 6pm we will celebrate Rev. Holley with a retirement banquet at the MGM Grand Detroit Ballroom.  Bishop J. Drew Sheard, newly elected Presiding Prelate of the Churches of God In Christ, Inc. will be the keynote speaker for the evening.  The deadline to purchase tickets and ads is Friday, April 29th.  Gold and white are the colors for the day!   There will be a Keepsake Souvenir Journal available for ads to be purchased (click here to download the ad form).  We are asking that all auxiliary members please purchase your tickets through your auxiliary.  For more information about the souvenir journal please contact Joanne Givens, and for tickets please contact Carolyn Hafner.  

FORGOTTEN HARVEST & GLEANERS FOOD DISTRIBUTION:   Our food distribution program has resumed!  Our next food distribution will be Friday, May 27th.  This dissemination takes place each month on the 2nd & 4th Friday.  We partner with Forgotten Harvest & Gleaner's food bank to share food to those in our community in need.   We are in need of "manpower" so we are asking for the brothers to volunteer to help with the distribution!  We thank God that we were able to feed many families in 2021 and we look forward to being a blessing again in 2022!  

DTE IS HIRING:  DTE is hiring tree trimmers at $17/hour. For more information, please call the church office.

2022 MEMBER REGISTRATION:   Registration is a form of identity as a part of the Historic Little Rock family. Membership helps keep us gathered with the other sheep under the protective leadership of Pastor-elect Colvin.  When you register, you are affirming your connection with the Historic Little Rock Baptist Church.  You are joining a body of believers in unity proclaiming that you will work together that we might fulfill God's mission in the world - to make disciples of all nations (Matt 28:18-20).  Please click here to register today!

HLRBC RESIDENTIAL HOUSING COMPLEX: The Detroit City Council approved a resolution authorizing Rev. Dr. Jim Holley Senior Citizens Residences to receive $18M in HOME dollars to support the project at 9001 Woodward! The funds will assist in constructing 30 rental units in a new 60 unit residential development that will be 100% affordable. Construction has begun on our new $18M senior residential complex that will be situated across the street from our main building.  We are thankful to the City of Detroit and all that have supported this effort.
